Marvin J. "Zeke" Murray

Marvin J. “Zeke” Murray, 76, of Exeter Township, passed away Friday, January 11th, 2013 in ManorCare Health Services-Laureldale. He was the husband of Doris E. (Stricker) Murray. Born in East Reading, he was the son of the late John and Bessie (Cromer) Murray . Zeke was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church-Reiffton, a member of the Pocono Beagle Club and the International Federation of American Homing Pigeon Fanciers. He was an avid birdwatcher, a wonderful storyteller, loved sweets, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Zeke was a tool and dye maker for many years, retiring from Surgical Specialities. In addition to his wife, Zeke is survived by: Two Daughters: Cathy wife of Scott Sarra of Exeter Township and Lori wife of Joe Koehler of Boyertown; Four Grandchildren: Brian, Matthew, Kristin and Eric. There is also one sister: Josie widow of of Calvin Seidel of Womelsdorf. Services will be held in Reformation Lutheran Church 3670 Perkiomen Ave. Reading, PA 19606 on Wednesday, January 16th, 2013at12:00 noon. Friends may call Tuesday Evening from 6:00 pm to8:00 pm in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave. Mount Penn and also Wednesday Morning at Church from 11:00 am till the time of the service.
