Nancy Ann Rhoads

Nancy Ann Rhoads, 88, of Exeter Township, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at The Highlands at Wyomissing. She was the loving wife of the late James D. Rhoads, with whom she celebrated 61 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clifford P. and Evelyn M. (Geiger) Rhoads.

Nancy attended Kutztown University and was a graduate of The Reading Business Institute. She then was employed for several years in the H.R. Department at The Reading Hospital before leaving to raise a family.

Nancy is survived by three children whom she loved very much; daughter Beth Ann wife of Thomas Brizek, Exeter Township, daughter Elyse wife of Randall Miller, Cumru Township, and son Steven Rhoads husband of Kara, Wernersville. Nancy was blessed with six grandchildren of whom she was very proud; Andrew Brizek husband of Kelly, Paige (Brizek) Opdyke wife of Michael, Steven Miller husband of Elise, Ross Miller husband of Paige, Bethany Miller fiance of Nick Grassley, and Jimmy Rhoads. Nancy also had six wonderful great-grandchildren; Whitney Brizek, Molly Brizek, Drew Opdyke, Grant Opdyke, Brooke Opdyke, and Emerson Grassley. In addition, Nancy is survived by her brother Richard Rhoads, husband of Kathleen.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 beginning at 11:00 am at Saint Paul's Cemetery, 975 Old Airport Road, Douglassville, PA 19518. Interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Reformation Lutheran Church, 3670 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606.
