Lawrence J. Newman

Lawrence J. "Butch" Newman, 73, of Exeter, passed away, Friday, February 2, 2018 in Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He was the husband of Barbara J. (Rick) Newman. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Lawrence I. and Rosie (Englebach) Newman. Butch worked for Vince's Towing for many years and ran his own business Signature Auto Recovery and Transport. He loved cars and was a true Motorhead. Butch is survived by two sons Steven R. of Exeter, Nathan P. of Exeter and one daughter Robin A. Scarpaci wife of David of Leesport. He is also survived by grandchildren Tyler, Kelsey, Cameron, Aiden and sisters Jean Hopper, Gayle Behm, Suzanne Gorr, and Denise Ghering. Butch was pre deceased by his sisters Deborah and Laurie. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm with services beginning at 1:00 pm in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave. Mt. Penn.
