Noel S. Yapsuga

Noel S. Yapsuga, 74, of Douglassville, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024 in Pennsylvania Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the long time partner of Tammy LaMontagne, with whom he celebrated 28 loving years. Born in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Edward B. and Lorraine K. (Schneider) Yapsuga. Noel graduated from Northampton Area High School and Temple University with his Bachelor's Degree. Noel was a pharmacist and division manager at Rite Aid for 40 years until his retirement. He was a member of St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C.

In addition to Tammy, Noel is survived by his children; Marisa Gilbert, wife of Paul, of Exeter, Kristen Yapsuga-Reinert, wife of Todd, of Exeter, Alicia Dauble, wife of Brian, of Exeter, and Edward Yapsuga, husband of Stacey, of Fleetwood. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; Morgan, Aidan, Braylon, Chloe, Cayden, Andrew, Katelyn, Joshua, Sienna, Jack, Hunter, Luke, and Emily. He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward F. Yapsuga Jr.

Noel was the life of the party. His laugh was contagious and his love for his family was immeasurable. Noel was a huge supporter of his children and grandchildren. You could find him on the sidelines of a track meet, soccer or softball game, or in the stands watching football, basketball, baseball, lacrosse, field hockey, tennis or a swim meet. You could also find him stepping in and helping when needed, especially volunteering for many years at the SCS purse bingo events.

He loved family gatherings - whether it be for night swims with Left-Right-Center, Halloween parties or the infamous Easter Egg hunts, anytime everyone was together it was sure to be a fun, loud and memorable night. He enjoyed the family vacations to Outer Banks where the days were filled with everyone lounging and playing together at the beach and pool and shopping, while the evenings were filled with billiard tournaments, game nights, go-karts and hanging at his own tiki bar with the guys and his Coors Light. He loved his grandchildren, his children and Tammy with his whole being. The memory of his smile and jokes and nicknames will continue to give comfort to all who knew him.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 am at St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C., 4975 Boyertown Pike, Reading, PA 19606. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Road, Reading, PA 19605. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
