Sallie Orth

Sallie A. Orth, 72, of Lower Alsace Township, passed away Saturday, March 26th, 2016 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was the wife of Kirk W. Orth. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Joseph D., Sr. and Florence L. (Willoughby) Quinton. Sallie was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. She was an active member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church-Reading where she assisted in many capacities. Sallie also was a teacher's volunteer for the Mt. Penn Elementary Center for many years. She was employed in the X-Ray Department of St. Joseph Medical Center for over twenty years, before her retirement. In addition to her husband, Sallie is survived by: One Son: Keith W. Orth and his girlfriend Christine of Sinking Spring; One Daughter: Karen E. wife of Stephen L. Rimby of Exeter Township; One Grandson: Ryan J. Rimby of Exeter Township; Brother-In-Law Gerald Behney and Sister-In-Law Dorothy Quinton both of Exeter Township, Sister-In-Law Sally Orth of Spring Township as well as several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brother, Joseph D. Quinton, Jr. and her sister, Mary Behney. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 2nd, 2016 from 9:30 am- 10:30 am with services beginning at 10:30 am in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading, PA 19606.
