Marjorie Owens

Marjorie J. Owens, 81, of St. Lawrence, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017, in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was the wife of Ronald L. Owens with whom she shared 61 years of marriage. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Claire (Huyett) Melcher. She graduated from Reading High School, was a member of Schwarzwald Lutheran Church and loved to dance especially to the Jitter Bug. Marjorie was a teacher's aide at Lausch Elementary School for 30 years. Marjorie is survived by two sons, Todd M. husband of Nina of Oley and Gary R. husband of Christie Spencer of Philadelphia; one daughter Cynthia L. wife of Gregory Lott of St. Lawrence; three grandchildren, Kayden, Maizie, Isobel and one sister Marilyn Gross.
