Stella A. Poncavage-Pawlewicz, 91, of Reading, passed away, Saturday, April 28, 2018 in Berkshire Center. She was the wife of Joseph J. Pawlewicz who passed in 1993. Born in Shenandoah, Schuylkill County, she was a daughter of the late John and Victoria (Barnoski) Markiewicz. She was a member of St. Mary's R.C.C. Stella is survived by one daughter Patricia A. wife of Curtis A. Miller of Exeter Twp. and one son Alois "Skip" E. husband of Kim Poncavage of York; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Frances Domkus and Sophie Kalinowski both of Shenandoah. She is predeceased by three sisters Emily Crofton, Anna Mikosz, Helen Albert and three brothers Edward Markiewicz and Stanley and Anthony Hajduk. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 12:00 pm -1:00 pm with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 1:00 pm in the St. Mary's R.C.C., 250 S. 12th Street, Reading, PA 19602. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary's Shelter, 736 Upland Ave, Reading, PA 19607. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc.
