Steven J. Pienta, 56, of Shillington , passed away,Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015 in Manor Care Sinking Spring. He was the husband of Susan Ann (Nunemaker) Pienta . Born in Reading, he was a son of David Pienta of Florida and the late Shirley (Hunsberger) Burke. Steven was a graduate of Reading High School and was a meat cutter all his life, lastly employed by Redner's Markets. In addition to his father and wife, Steven is survived by: Three Sons: Joseph James of Exeter Township, Jason husband of Stephanie of San Antonio, TX and Steven Wayne of Shillington; Two Daughters: Elizabeth Ann and Olivia Grace both of Shillington; Two Grandchildren: Bryan Pienta and Jett Carter Pienta and Two Sisters: Cindy Smith of Maryland and Tammy Burke of Reading. He is also survived by his loving in-laws: Sallyann and Gary Frank. Steven was a selfless man. The type of person that would give you the shirt off his back, even if it meant he would forever be shirtless. He loved his family and friends, with a passion so great that it could never be defined by the words that characterize him as a man. He could teach without saying a word, make you laugh like no one else, love without question, and be present without being present. I have never met a person that didn't absolutely adore him or become a better person for knowing him. Although he was met with an insurmountable fight, he will never truly be gone. His soul lives on through the countless lives he touched. Rest in the peaceful serenity that you deserve. We love you Dad, Pop-Pop, Steve, Son, Friend, Hunny and Shpevy. A Celebration of Steven's life will be held at a later date. Interment private at the request of the family. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., Mount Penn in charge of arrangements.
