Neva M. Pond (Galloway)

Neva M. (Galloway) Pond, 86, of St Lawrence, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022, in Reading Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Richard A. Pond Jr. who passed September 30, 1998. Born in Wyalusing, PA, she was the daughter of the late Silas E. and Viola D. (Harring) Galloway. Neva was a member of Schwarzwald U.C.C. and she was always very involved in the church, especially with the Easter candy. She also bowled at Bowl-O-Rama for many years.

Neva is survived by her daughter Brenda I. Essig, wife of Vince, of Oley; her grandsons Zachary P. Essig, husband of Amy, of Oley, and Nathan R. Essig, husband of Samantha, of Ft. Bragg Army Base; three great-grandchildren Leala, Jase, and Alice; and many nieces and nephews that she considered grandchildren.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Mt Penn, Pennsylvania 19606.
