June B. Quinter, 87, of Lower Alsace Township, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was the widow of Rodney L. “Fudge” Quinter who passed away January 9, 2004.
Born in Mount Penn, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Dorothy (Moyer) Homan. June was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church-Stony Creek. June worked as a pairer for the former Berkshire Knitting Mills and was in charge of the cafeterias in the Antietam School District for 32 years.
She is survived by one son: Todd R. Quinter husband of Sandra A. of Laureldale; four Grandchildren: Erika wife of Chris Bevins, Chad Quinter, Brandon Rubendall and Nicole Rubendall and one great-granddaughter: Brooklynn Bevins. She was pre-deceased by her sisters: Pauline Homan, Barbara Herb and Shirley Berger.
Visitation with family and friends will be held from 11:00-12:00 noon with services beginning at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave. Mt. Penn. Burial will be Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bethany E.L. Church 1375 Friedensburg Road Reading, PA 19606.
