June 19, 1922 — November 5, 2016

Robert A. Reeser (1922-2016)
Robert A. Reeser, 94, of Reiffton, passed away on November 5, 2016 at the Berkshire Center where he was residing for one day. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Annelouise (Leonard) Reeser in February 2013 after 59 years of marriage. Born in Lancaster, PA he was the only child of the late Harold H. and Marie (DeHaven) Reeser. Bob graduated from Mt. Penn High School, Albright College and the Charles Morris Price School of Advertising and Journalism in Philadelphia, PA. He also served in the United States Navy, in the North Pacific arena, postpoining his education during those years of service. His 50 year career was in the world of advertising, beginning at BH&S in Reading. Bob's dream of leading an advertising agency was realized in 1976 along with the gifted talents of his good friend Jack Sperling. The agency Reeser and Sperling Advertising continued past the sale of the agency in 1990 and he finally slowed down from that daily world at the age of 78. He then worked part time for his daughter Sueanne at Boardwalk Snacks, meeting many new friends along the way. He truly enjoyed his weekly stops at Smith's Candies in Myerstown. Bob was truly a hard working man who always kept close to his family. He is survived by one son, Robert H. Reeser, husband of Dianna J. of Exeter, two daughters, Sueanne E. wife of Barry L. Reisig of Reiffton and Sally M. wife of Dr. Anton Kapp of Oreland, PA; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Stephen (Morgan) and Michael Kapp; Mark (Megan), Adam and Emily Reeser; Christie and John Taormina; and Matthew (Erin), Andrew(Lindsey), A.J. and Saranne Reisig. He was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Adeline and Maxine Louise Reisig. He was a lifetime member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Mt. Penn, past Sunday School teacher and Consistory member. He truly enjoyed going to this church where he grew up...walking away with a wonderful Sunday morning smile. Bob was past president and charter member of the Antietam Valley Lions Club, Trustee of Albright College Athletic and Alumni Councils, member of Alvernia College Board of Trustees and life member and past president of the Advisory Board, Salvation Army in Reading. He resided in the Reiffton area for over 58 years, enjoying his home, neighbors and friends, occasionally cutting the lawn after work in his shirt and tie. Services will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016, Veteran's Day in Trinity U.C.C. with visitation from 9:00-10:00 a.m. and the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
