Richard A. Churico Sr., 81, of Birdsboro, passed away on Wednesday July 3, 2024 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the husband of Judy A. (Weiser) Churico. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late George and Arlene (DeRenzo) Churico.Richard proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict patrolling the DMZ. Richard and his wife are longtime members of Exeter Bible Fellowship Church. He was a devoted man of God and dedicated himself to his Bible everyday. He was a devoted husband and celebrated 57 years of marriage June 24. He was a great father and family man who loved both his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by his children, Richard A. Churico Jr, of Birdsboro and Lisa Churico of South Carolina. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Stephen, Sabrinia, Shelby, Kyrsten, and TJ, as well as his sister Francis. Richard is predeceased by his brothers Jack, George Jr, and Frank, and his sisters Patricia, JoAnn, Ramona and Bernice.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on July 11 2024 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, with services beginning at 12:00pm at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W Neversink Road Reading PA 19606. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Exeter Bible Church.
