Keith Richards

Keith G. Richards, 70, of Exeter Township, passed away Monday, February 29th, 2016 in Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He was the husband of Marie E. Huyett Richards. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Stephen G. and Edna M. Strause Richards. Keith was a graduate of Exeter High School in 1963, Temple University, and the Culinary Arts Institute, New York. He was a United States Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a Culinary Arts Instructor at Berks Career and Technology Center in Oley for 35 years and retired in 2002. In 1988, he was voted as one of the Top Ten Teachers in Pennsylvania. In addition to his wife, Keith is survived by: two sons: Stephen G. Richards, II, husband of Diana, and Bradley K. Richards husband of Vivien both of Reading; three grandchildren: John, Catherine and Liam; and one sister: Marjorie A. widow of Dr Thomas Leinbach of Lexington, KY. Keith touched so many lives with his love, compassion and kindness. His memory will warm our hearts forever. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 9:30-11:00 am with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 23, 2016 in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave. Mt. Penn. Interment private in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
