Emily L. Rick, 93, of Mount Penn, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014.
She was the widow of Norman E. Rick who passed away January 1968. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Helen Tobolski.
Emily was a graduate of Reading High School and she was a member of St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C. Mount Penn. She played piano with Dot Swavely’s Orchestra in the 1940’s. Emily was a nurse, employed by the Reading Hospital for 25 plus years.
Emily is survived by a daughter, Kristin E., wife of David Ludwig; a son, Dennis T. Rick; a grandson, Eric Ludwig,husband of Lacy; great-grandchildren, Tiara and Ethan; one brother, Arthur Tobolski and one sister, Adelle (Tobolski)Dixon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, July 15that 9:30 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Chapel, 2427 Perkiomen Ave., Mt. Penn, 19606.
