Clayton D. Roberts

Clayton D. Roberts, 86, of Wyomissing, passed away on December 1, 2021, in his residence due to an accidental death. He was a widower of 32 years, his late wife was Elinor E. (Bordner) Roberts. He was born on June 5, 1935 in Reading, PA to Ira B. & Dorothy (Hafer) Roberts, he was their only child.
Clayton graduated from Birdsboro High school in 1954, and was a member of West Lawn United Methodist Church. He was a machinist for over 32 years with the former Birdsboro Steel Corporation. He then worked in security for the county of Berks for over 6 1/2 years at Berks Heim, and then for other local security companies. He loved his kids, grandchildren, and dogs. He also loved playing golf, as well as watching golf, NASCAR, among many other sports.
He is survived by his two children: daughter Sherri L., wife of Scott High of Exeter, and son Kelly S. Roberts of Wyomissing, as well as three grandchildren: Jennifer High of Charleston SC, Stephanie (High) Lamison of Exeter, wife of Andrew, and Courtney High of Cumru. He is also survived by one great grandchild, Chelsea Rose Lamison.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday December 9, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Mt. Penn, PA 19606. Interment will be at Birdsboro Cemetery, Birdsboro. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St Jude's. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
