Richard Rothenberger Sr

Richard D. Rothenberger Sr. 83, of West Lawn, passed away, Friday, March 4th, 2016 in Berks Heim . He was the loving husband of Ruth V. (Reifsnyder) Rothenberger . Born in Reading , he was a son of the late William and Pearl (Hassler) Rothenberger. He was a member of Kenhorst Blvd. Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Richard was a short order cook for 22 years at Zinn's Diner and then worked for Brodels Steel Factory. Later he worked for Woolworth Warehouse in Denver in shipping and ultimately retired from. After his retirement he worked in the kitchen for Wernersille State Hospital. Richard is survived by 4 sons Richard Jr. husband of Linda of Wernersville, Kenneth of Spring Twp, David husband of Lynn of Wernersville, Jeffrey husband of Diane of Reinholds, and two daughters Cathy widow of Donald Repsher of VA and Desiree wife of L. J. Sandridge of Laureldale, 9 grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers Ernest of Spring Twp and Jack of Florida. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 9:30 am 10:30 am with services beginning at 10:30 am in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave, Reading PA 19606.
