Harry C. Rudy Jr.

Harry C. Rudy, Jr., 90,formerly of Oley and currently of St. Lawrence passed away Friday, December 28th, 2012 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He was the husband of Dorothy H. (Williams) Rudy. He was pre-deceased by his first wife Evelyn (Eddinger) Rudy in 1999. Born in Mount Penn he was a son of the late Harry C. Sr. and Adalene (Wagner) Rudy. Harry was a United States Army veteran serving in World War II as a staff sergeant. He was involved in the European Theater serving in Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. Harry was a member of Open Bible Baptist Church and was a life member of the Oley Fire Company, Hook and Ladder (Friendship) Fire Company in Boyertown and the Stony Creek AA. He as also a member of the Reading Hose and Relief and the American Legion Post #878-Oley where he served as a trustee and was also a member of the Pikeville Spo rtsmans Club.. In addition to his wife, Harry is survived by: One Son: Donald Rudy husband of Donna and One Daughter: Barbara wife of Glen Wagner;Three Grandchildren: Denise, Michael and Matthew; Five Great-Grandchildren: Torrie, Cody, Ethan, Joseph and Annabelle;Two Sisters: Arlene Hartz and Betty Rudy; One Step-Sister: Carol Gromis; Two Step-Sons: John Sandlin husband of Vanessa and Wesley Sandlin husband of Amy; Four Step-Grandchildren: Tyler, Orrin, Lamour and Cassidy. He was also pre-deceased by a Brother Jack. Services from the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave. Mount Penn on Friday, January 4th, 2013 at 2:00 pm Friends may call from1:30 pm to2:00 pm. Interment in Aulenbach’s Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Topton American Legion.
