Helen Anne Rupp, 91, West Wyomissing, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 at Manor Care Sinking Spring. She was the widow of Bruce A. Rupp, who passed away in 1997. Born in 1923 in Reading, the daughter of the late William and Rebecca (Reber) Stubblebine. She graduated from Reading High School in 1941. She was a secretary for the Berks/Schuylkill Audio Visual Film Library, and later worked as a secretary for the Department of Agriculture for 10 years until retiring in 1985. She is survived by her son, David B. Rupp husband of Susan of Alsace Township; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two step grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters: Ethel Howel and Mildred wife of Edward Loeper of Shillington. Helen was pre-deceased by a daughter Susan A. Rupp, in 1967.
Helen was a talented seamstress who enjoyed making her own clothing. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She enjoyed reading and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of West Lawn United Methodist Church and volunteered her time knitting items for charity. She was known for her candor and great sense of humor, and she will be missed. The family requests that contributions be made to West Lawn United Methodist Church, 15 Woodside Avenue, West Lawn, PA 19609. Services and Interment private at the convenience of the family.
