William J. Salvatore Sr.

William J. Salvatore, Sr, 79, of Exeter Township, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016 in his residence. He was the husband of Jacqueline K. (Reinert) Salvatore. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late John B. and Theresa (DiSei) Salvatore. William was a graduate of Reading High School in 1955 and was a member of Holy Rosary R.C.C.-Reading. He was the manager of Dutrey's Shoe Store in Reading for 40 years where he retired from. In addition to his wife, William is survived by: two sons, William A. Salvatore husband of Lauren of Mount Penn and Mark J. Salvatore companion of Jennifer Frick of Sinking Spring; step-children, Kelly wife of Bruce Carbonara of Texas, Brian Ramsey husband of Debbie of Pennside, Michael Ramsey widower of Andrea of Exeter Township and Jack Ramsey of West Lawn; grandchildren, Alessandra, Arianna, Allyson, Jennifer, Jodi, Nico and Brian; great-grandson, Connor. He was one of ten children and is survived by, one sister, Mary and two brothers, Mario and Vince. He was pre-deceased by his daughter, Susan Salvatore and a step-son, Gene Ramsey. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 8:30-10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary R.C.C., 237 Franklin Street, Reading, PA 19602.
