Samuel J. Padovani

Samuel J. Padovani, 85, of Exeter Township, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 in his home. He was the husband of Desiree L. Padovani (Valeriano), with whom he shared 48 years of marriage. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Selvino and Mary Padovani (Dennis). Sam graduated from Reading High School and attended Kutztown State College. He was the owner of Speedies Dinette for 45 years.

In addition to his wife Desiree, Sam is survived by his children: Dean Padovani (Jackie), Lee Bukowski (Jeff), Neal Padovani (Susan), Sam Padovani (Emily), and Erin Weisbrod (Eric). He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren: Rachael, Jaclyn, Gabriella, Brianna, Cecilia, Vincent, Isabella, Vivian, Perry, Jason, Kaitlin, as well as his great-granddaughter Audrey. Sam was preceded in death by his sisters: Angie, Rosie, and Josie.

Sam was an avid music lover, especially jazz, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family. His thousands of Speedies customers made up a community of extended family for Sam. He was a lifelong Philadelphia sports fan-Go Phillies! Go Birds!

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606.
