Robert A. Schaeffer

Robert A. Schaeffer, 70 of Oley, PA passed away on Friday July 10, 2015 in the Reading Hospital Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Kathryn J. (Crowdell) Schaeffer. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Clarence and Alice (Dry)Schaeffer. Besides his family, Bob’s true passion was taking long motorcycle trips as well as camping in Wellsboro. He was the past Fire Chief in Oley from 86-88. Bob worked for Met Ed for 42 years in the metering department until retiring in 2007. He is survived by two daughters Claire J. wife of Chris Damschen of Port Clinton, Ohio and Kristin E. wife of Casey Kimma of Reading. He is also survived by five grandchildren Riley, Noah and Maddison Damschen and Logan and Brady Kimma. Friends may call from 11:00 AM to 12:00 am on Thursday July 16th at Zions Spies Evangelical Church 318 Spies Church Rd. Reading 19606 with services beginning at 12:00 pm.
