Carol Schoener

Carol Lee Schoener, 74, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 in her residence. She was the widow of Robert W. Schoener who passed away January 8, 2011. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of Dorothy A. (Levick) Miller of Temple and the late David W. Miller. Carol was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School and the Reading Business Institute. She was a longtime member of Epiphany Lutheran Church and now Calvary Lutheran Church and was very active with the Sunday School as well as Church Council. She was an avid gardener and bird watcher. Carol is survived by her daughter, Lisa A. wife of Robert Stoyko of Mohnton and her son, R. Scott Schoener husband of Michele of Fleetwood; five grandchildren, Lauren Stoyko, Kristi wife of Devin Barto, Bradley, Katelyn and Alexis Schoener. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 am with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 am in Calvary Lutheran Church, 1009 Elizabeth Ave., Laureldale, PA 19605. The family requests no flowers be sent. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Carol Lee Schoener may be directed to support a new oncology nursing scholarship to be established in her name at the Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences.
