Rudolph H. Schoning II, 74, formerly of Temple, passed away, Saturday, February 24th, 2018 in Rosewood Rehabilitation Center. Born in Miami Florida, he was a son of the late Rudolph H. and Naomi (Saylor) Schoning. He was a Muhlenberg High School Graduate, a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a member of Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rudolph was a Police Officer for 27 years with the Muhlenberg Twp. Police Department until his retirement. Lastly, he was employed with Eshelman Transportation Inc. as a school bus driver. Rudolph is survived by two sons, Troy F. husband of Melanie Schoning of Mount Penn and Rudolph H. III husband of Crystal R. Schoning of Reiffton and one daughter, Kathy N. wife of Thomas Mueller of Wernersville, nine grandchildren, one great grandson and one sister, Kathy wife of Denton Buckley of Muhlenberg township and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 28 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A service will be held Thursday, March 1 at 11:00 am in the Lutz Funeral Home, 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading. Interment will be held in Salem Shalters Cemetery, Alsace Township.
