Verna Schwartz

Verna M. Schwartz ,82, formerly of Exeter Township passed away peacefully, Tuesday, December 8th, 2015 in Phoebe Berks Villiage, Wernersville. She was the wife of Harry D. Schwartz who passed away September 18, 2005. Born in Reading she was a daughter of the late Carmello and Leonarda Spina. Verna was a member of St. Catharine of Siena RCC. She was a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department for the former Community General Hospital in Reading for more than 40 years. She is survived by one son Kress M. Schwartz of Exeter Township and a grandson, Cole Schwartz. She is also survived by one sister Aggie (Spina) Nave, Wyomissing. Verna was pre deceased by her brother Joseph Spina, Tuckahoe, NJ. Prior to her move to Phoebe, Verna was an avid gardener and an exceptional cook and baker - particularly of foods that reflected her Italian heritage.

Visitation with family and friends will be held from 9:00 am to 10:00 amwith services beginning at 10:00 amin the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc 2100 Perkiomen Ave. Mt. Penn on Monday, December 14th, 2015 .
