Sara Sechrist

Sara J. Sechrist, 71, of St. Lawrence, passed away Sunday December 24, 2017, in Spruce Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and L. Margaret (VanBuskirk) Sechrist. Sara graduated in 1964 from Exeter Township School District and was a founding member of the Pagoda Ramblers Camping Club. She was a 3rd grade teacher at Exeter Township School District for 30 years until her retirement in 1999. Sara is survived by one brother Arthur A. Sechrist of Oley and three nieces, Lori, Lynn and Lisa. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday December 30, 2017, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
