Kathryn Seidel

Kathryn M. Seidel, 88, formerly of Lower Alsace Township, passed away, Monday, June 18, 2018 in Laurel Center, Hamburg. She was the wife of the late Earl C. Seidel, who passed away on July 24, 2004. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Cyrus and Carrie (Hornberger) Gerhart. Kathryn graduated from Reading High School in 1948 and was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church. Kathryn is survived by one son Kane E. Seidel of Reading; two daughters, Roberta K. wife of Donald Kissling of Bernville and Cynthia L. Yerger of York Springs, PA; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother Ralph Gerhart husband of Lorraine of Reading and three sisters, Geraldine Hafer of Reading, Trudy Beidler and Linda Gerhart both of Wernersville. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 from 10:00 am -11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading.
