Donald L. Shade

Donald L. Shade, 81, of Reading, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2014 in St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the widower of Dorothy L. (Faust) Shade who passed away June 5, 1994. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Herman and Helen (Dreibelbis) Shade. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Korean War and enjoyed camping and fishing. Donald was a tool setter for AT&T and then a store keeper for Polymer Corporation before retiring. He is survived by: One Daughter: Kathy A. wife of Daniel Lorah of Stony Creek Mills; Two Grandchildren William Frymoyer and Jennifer Thomas-DeBooth and Four Great-Grandchildren: One Brother: Milton Shade of Leesport and One Sister: Shirley Kauffman of State College. He was pre-deceased by a brother Russell. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, September 18, 2014 in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., Mount Penn. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30.
