David J. Sharpley Sr.

David J. Sharpley, Sr. ,74, of Reading, passed away, Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He was the husband of Joyce E. (Shiller) Sharpley. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Howard S. and Josephine C. (Cagney) Sharpley. David was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked as a mechanic for all of his life at Ransome Lift. Along with his wife, David is survived by one daughter Mary-Catherine wife of Greg Lamey of Ephrata, two sons David J. Jr. husband of Tina of Indianapolis, Steven M. husband of Renza of Oley; seven grandchildren and three great-granddaughters. Also surviving are one brother Howard J. and one sister Gloria J.
