Charmaine A. Shober, 84, formerly of Reading, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in her residence at Phoebe Berks Village. She was the wife of Kay William Shober.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Catharine (Rightmyer) Reich.
Charmaine was a nurse’s aide for Lebanon Valley Brethren Home in Palmyra for 11 years. She was also a former Girl Scout Leader and Judge of Elections.
In addition to her husband, Charmaine is survived by: Four Sons: Claude Lantz husband of Dottie of Delaware, Rodney Lantz husband of Cathy of Pottstown, James Lantz husband of Nikki of Newmanstown, William Lantz husband of Donna of Wyomissing Hills; Four Daughters: Marinne wife of Frank Jones of Georgia, Ellen Sweitzer wife of the late Carl L. Sweitzer of Sinking Spring, Levana wife of Neal Thomason of Muhlenberg and Denise wife of William Stahlberg of Reading; One Step-Son: David Smithers husband of Polly of Reading; 33 Grandchildren and 43 Great-Grandchildren.She was pre-deceased by her brothers Claude, Richard and Rodney and her sister Margaret Snyder.
Visitation with the family will be held from 10:00-11:00 A.M. with memorial services beginning at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, January 19, 2015 in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. Mount Penn.
