Shirley J. Shuman (Seidel)

Shirley J. (Seidel) Shuman, 86, of Alsace Township, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022, in Laurel Center. She was the wife of the late Herbert J. Shuman Jr., who passed away June 18, 2018. Born in Alsace Township, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Clarence J. and Helen E. (Heffner) Seidel. Shirley graduated from Mt. Penn High School and was a member of Zions Spies Evangelical Reformed Church, Alsace Township. Shirley worked at Oley Valley Elementary School in the cafeteria for 36 years until her retirement.

Shirley is survived by her children; Gregory A. Shuman, and Cheryl L. (Shuman) Schell, wife of David. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Mt. Penn, PA 19606. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
