Carol Shurr

Carol A. Shurr, 75, of Reading passed away Thursday November 16, 2017 in her home. She was the wife of Martin L. Shurr who passed in November of 2010. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and May Herbst. Carol was a cook at Exeter High School and worked for Boscov's Catering. She also volunteered at Lincolnwood Links which benefits patients at The Reading Hospital and was a member of Berks Encore in Birdsboro. Carol is survived by two sons Scott wife of Amy from Exeter and Martin L., Jr. of New Jersey, one daughter Joyce A. Ritnauer of Boyertown, one brother Thomas Jr., of Florida, four grandchildren Ryan, Marty, Travis and Ben and two great grandchildren Lilly and Anabelle. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc.
