Clare E. (Forehand) Shurr
Clare E. Shurr, 79, peacefully passed into the arms of Jesus, rejoicing with her Savior. Her family was by her side in her Exeter Township home on the July 16, 2016. She was born to Joseph W. Forehand and Lece (Box) Forehand on February 18, 1937 in Coffee County, Wray, Georgia.
Clare is survived by a very caring and loving husband, Charles Neil Shurr, also a sister, Mary Emerick of Elverson, PA.
Although Clare had many jobs, her fulfilling work was with Prospectus Berco. The love of people who needed special care motivated her into a great service. Clare and her first husband, Donald C. Lutz had six children. Ronald Lutz, Maryland,
Brian Lutz of Bernville, Bonnie (Lutz) Fisher of Myerstown, LeAnn (Lutz) Chestnut of Florida, Carol (Lutz) Schwartz, Womelsdorf, and Susan (Lutz) Neider, Reading. Also, there are four step children, Charles N. Shurr Jr., Kutztown, Sandy Shurr, Reading, Wendy Orzolek and Beth Shurr both of Exeter Township.
Her grandchildren are David Fisher, Nathan Schwartz, Diedre (Lutz) Shumaker, Brandy (Schwartz) McAllister, Amie (Dreibelbis) Wiest, Adrienne (Lutz) Troutman, Courtney (Lutz) Preston, Amber (Lutz) Yacklovich, Amanda Fisher, Alyssa Chestnut, and Grace Lutz. Her step-grandchildren are, Justin Shurr, Trevor Shurr, Sam Orzolek.
Her legacy continues with ten great grandchildren: Tyler Shumaker, Maxwell Troutman, Ethan Wiest, Brycen Wiest, Allison Arnold, Aleaha Arnold, Lily Lutz, Collin Bradley Fisher, Ryder Preston and Lucas Mosser. Clare was predeceased by two grandsons Bradly Fisher and Dennis Lutz and a second husband M. Joseph Chestnut.
Clare an artist loved flowers. We wish to honor her with a glorious array at her funeral celebration. This was her wish. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Ave., Mount Penn.
