Judith Silfies

Judith E. Silfies, 71, of Reading, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2017, in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center, Reading . She was the wife of Stanley R. Silfies, Jr., who passed on February 25, 1994. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Florence (Zeigler) Krouse. Judith attended St. Joseph School of Nursing, was a nurse at Community General Hospital for over 20 years and was a member of the U.S Army. She is survived by one son Scott N., one daughter Jennifer C.; and one grandson Niko. Also surviving are one brother Bruce Krouse and one sister Joan Reed. She is predeceased by one son Shawn M. and two brothers Craig and Neal Krouse. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, from 10:00 am 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading.
