Edward J. Smith, 67, of Bern Township, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022, in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the husband of Veronica (Renkus) Smith, of Bern Township. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Joseph F. Smith and Mary G. (Fucci) Smith McClelland. Ed graduated from Central Catholic High School. He was an estimator for MJ Electric for 17 years.
In addition to his wife, Ed is survived by his brother, Tom F., husband of Karen, of Pennside, his nieces and nephews, Lisa Wentzel, wife of Mike, Ryan Smith, of Maui, Hawaii, Marijo Smith, wife of Derrick, and one great-nephew, Tony Filippini. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Linda Smith, widow of Mark J.
