David S Snyder

David S. Snyder, 91, of Exeter Township, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023, in Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Myrtle (Dautrich) Snyder. Born in Oley, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late David and Elda (Stump) Snyder. David, also known as Davey or Sonny to family and friends, graduated from Oley High School in 1951, and was an active member of Friedens U.C.C. church where he served as deacon and Elder Emeritus. He proudly served his country in The United States Army. Davey was a master electrician at Standard Electric Service Corp. Davey enjoyed woodworking and made 14 Grandfather clocks for many in the relation. He could be seen working in the garden and mowing grass or plowing snow with his Kubota.

In addition to his wife, Davey is survived by his children; Janice Hoffmaster, widow of Donald, David C. Snyder, husband of Paula, and Ruth A. Snyder. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Christy Hoffmaster, Pamela Beidler, Amanda Angstadt, Matthew Reinert, and Adam Reinert, as well as his great-grandchildren; Michael Beidler, Luke Angstadt, Landon, Garrison, Caroline, Rylan, and Ashton Reinert. Davey was predeceased by his silbings; James Snyder, Hilda Angstadt, Emma Rohrbach, Helen Shirley, and Pearl Miller.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Friedens U.C.C. Church in Oley, PA 337 Main St Oley, Pennsylvania 19547. Interment will be at Frieden's Cemetery, Oley. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Friedens U.C.C.
