Shirley Spiese

Shirley H. Spiese, 84, of Wernersville, passed away, Thursday, May 17, 2018 in Reading Hospital and Medical Center. Born in Oley, she was a daughter of the late Walter S. Sr. and Helen (Sweitzer) Herb. Shirley graduated from Mt. Penn High School and worked at Berks Heim for many years, where she retired from. Shirley is survived by two brothers Wilbur Herb of Pennside, Raymond Herb of Florida and one sister Ruth Himmelberger of St. Lawrence. She is predeceased by one son Kristin D. Spies; one brother Walter S. Herb Jr.; and two sisters Eleanor Homan and Dorothy Herb. Services are private. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. Mount Penn in charge of arrangements.
