Donald W. High, Sr

Donald W. High, Sr., 73, of Douglassville, passed away Thursday, January 30th, 2014 in his residence. He was the husband of Linda L. (Shurr) High. Born in Amityville, he was a son of Harvey and Mary (Rhoads) High. Donald was an avid gardener, Penn State and Phillies Fan. He was a maintenance supervisor for Cabot Supermetals in Boyertown for 37 years until his retirement. In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by: sons Donald W. , Jr. husband of Andrea of Pottstown and Brian S. at home; one granddaughter: Kaitlyn E. High; one brother: Russell High husband of Betty of Exeter and three sisters: Ellen wife of Calvin Sheeler of Amityville, Arlene Hafer of Earlville and Joanne Merkel of Weavertown. He was pre-deceased by a brother Leonard. Friends may call from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday in the family owned Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. Mt. Penn. Interment privat e.
