Lee R. Steigerwalt

Lee R. Steigerwalt, 80, of Mount Penn, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He was the husband of Phyllis N. (DeLong) Steigerwalt with whom he would have celebrated his 58th wedding anniversary on March 1, 2017. Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Alfred W. and Edith A. (Shearer) Steigerwalt. Lee was a graduate of Mount Penn High School in 1954 and was a member of Trinity U.C.C.-Mount Penn. He was the owner/operator, along with his wife, of the Lee R. Steigerwalt Jewelry Store for 50 years until his retirement. He was also a member of the Reading Jewelers Guild and TPA. In addition to his wife, Lee is survived by a son, Kenneth M. husband of Sylvia and their children, Benjamin and Jessica; three daughters, Bonnie J. wife of John Palkovic, Jr; Sandra L. wife of Gordon Griffiths and their children, Ryan, Morgan and Quinn;and Crissy L. Stevelton and her children, Christian, Cobi and McKenzie Motley. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Ave. Mount Penn.
