Dora V. Stevens

Dora V. Stevens, 87, formerly of Pennside, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015 in the Park House-Montgomery County Home. She was the widow of Alex “Doc” Stevens who passed away in 1978. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Stavros and Sotoria (Voguit) Voguit. Dora was a longtime member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church helping at the bazaar in the jewelry area. Dora was a lover of animals and over the course of her life had taken in many dogs and cats people did not want. She worked in the corporate loan department for 20 years with American Bank, Meridan and finally CoreStates until retiring. She is survived by: Two Daughters: Stacey wife of Stephen Budd Cohen of Audubon, PA and Kathy wife of Donald Lee James of Burlington, NC and Three Grandchildren: Alex and Abby Cohen and Taylor James. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 10:30-11:00 A.M. with services beginning at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 in Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church 1001 E. Wyomissing Blvd. Reading, PA 19611. Interment in Charles Evans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Pennsylvania SPCA 350 E. Erie Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19134.
