Frank J. Sudock, 84, of Exeter Township, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. He was the husband of JoAnne (Ward) Sudock, with whom he celebrated 62 years of marriage. Born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Frank L. Sudock and Anna (Shinko) Walters. Frank graduated from West Hazleton High School and Albright College where he was a Quarterback and earned All-American honors. Frank taught in Exeter School District for 40 years. He coached many sports and was beloved by 40 years of football players and their families. Frank was also inducted into the Albright College, Exeter, Berks County and Hazelton Halls of Fame.
In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by his children: Christopher, husband of Laura, of Connecticut, Matthew, husband of Steven, of Brooklyn, and Keli A. Gaffney, of Connecticut. He is also survived by four grandchildren; Megan Borgnine (Brien) of Connecticut, Molly Gaffney of Reading, Christopher (Sarah) stationed in California and Jessica Sansone (Matthew) of Virginia. Four great-grandchildren (Quinn & Declan Sudock and Bryce & Crew Borgnine) with another (Charlotte Grace of Virginia) on the way, as well as his brothers James (Kathy) of Collegeville and Donald (Kelly) of Freeland and several nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his brother Robert.
A Celebration of the Life and Legacy of Frank Sudock with family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading, PA 19606.
