Joyce Sweigert

Joyce Sweigert, 82, of Reading, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015 in the Keystone Villa-Douglassville. She was the wife of Lawrence R. Sweigert. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Lester Dunkelberger and Marian (Hauser) Bechtel. Joyce was a member of Schwarzwald Lutheran Church-Jacksonwald where she was very involved. She worked as a secretary for Polymer Corp. and Morton Powder Castings for many years until her retirement. Her family was everything to her. In addition to her husband, Joyce is survived by: Three Sons; Barrie L. Sweigert husband of Carol of Spring Township, Gregg L. Sweigert husband of Donna of Exeter Township and Glenn R. Sweigert of Mohrsville; One Daughter: Anne J. wife of Dr. Jeffrey Hassel of Wyomissing; Ten Grandchildren and Three Great-Granddaughters; One Brother: Russell H. Bechtel of Plowville and Two Sisters: Jean Cambria of Shillington and Joan Johnson of Ft. Myers Beach, FL. Visitation with the family will be held from 9:30-10:30 A.M. with funeral services beginning at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, April 2, 2015 in Schwarzwald Lutheran Church 250 Church Lane Road Reading, PA 19606.
