Thora A. Swoards, 92, of Mohnton, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
She was the widow of William J. Swoards who passed away in 1988. Born in South Brewer, Maine, she was a daughter of the late Stillman and Lulu (Curtis) Shannon. Thora was a floor lady for David Crystals for many years until retirement. She is survived by two sisters, Ella widow of Arthur Lapp of Georgia and Dorothy C. widow of Edgar Quinter of Reading as well as many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brothers, Stillman and Herman Shannon and her sister, Leola Zerbe. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 1:00 pm in Forest Hills Memorial Park 391 W. Neversink Road Reading, PA 19606. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc.
