Frederick A. Swope

Frederick A. Swope, 57, of Cumru Township, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017. He was the husband of Nancy E. (Gibson) Swope. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Richard and Erma A. (Leinbach) Swope. Fred was a graduate of Mount Penn High School in 1977 and was a estimator for Hafer Environment for over 35 years. In addition to his wife, Fred is survived by three daughters, Kristel M. Swope of Reading, Samantha A. Swope of Florida and Colleen M. Scavone of Shillington; one granddaughter, Isabella Scavone and two brothers, James R. Swope husband of Nancy S. of Lower Alsace Township and David T. Swope of Reading. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Ave., Reading, PA 19606. Interment private.
