Anne Cecelia Thomas (Mcgoey)

Anne Cecelia (McGoey) Thomas, 79, of Sinking Spring, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of William E. Thomas, with whom she celebrated 49 years of marriage. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late John and Minnie (Gruber) McGoey. Anne graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1961, and Gwynedd Mercy Junior College in 1963. After graduating from Gwynedd, Anne served on the Mt. Penn Recreation Board, she was also the Secretary of Mt. Penn Republican League. Anne volunteered for St. Catharine's CCD program and at Hamburg State School. Anne worked at Thomas Wood Products as the secretary and treasurer for the last 22 years.

In addition to her husband Bill, Anne is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Brandon Pracht, of Glen Ridge, NJ, and her loving grandchildren; Archer, Holland, and Willa. Anne is also survived by her special friends; Donna, Heather, Michael LaScala, Mark Salvatore, her dear friend of 73 years Sandy Post. and her McGoey and Gruber cousins. Anne was predeceased by her brother, Jack, and her sister Mary Ellen (Emmie) Hafer.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading, PA 19606. Interment will be at Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Living Beyond Breast Cancer, 40 Monument Road, Suite 104, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
