Lucy May (Trout) Thomas, 86, of Reading, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023, in Berks Heim. She was the wife of the late Joel Thomas. Born in Stony Creek, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Marie (Koch) Trout. Lucy graduated from Mt. Penn High School in 1953 and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Lucy held several clerical positions over the years, lastly working at Bon Ton and Maniaci's Italian Bistro.

Lucy is survived by faithful friends for whom she is thankful.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with services beginning at 2:00 pm in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading, PA 19606. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508 and Berks County Historical Society, 940 Centre Ave, Reading, PA 19601.
