Grace C. Thompson

Grace C. Thompson, 92, of Douglassville, passed away in her residence on Monday, June 8, 2015. She was the widow of William A. Thompson who passed away in 1993. Born in Jersey City, NJ she was a daughter of the late Michael J. and Anna (Battle) O’Malley. Grace was a member of St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C.-Exeter Township. She was employed by First Jersey Savings and Loan almost 25 years, lastly as the secretary to the president. She was an avid lover of New York professional football, love of her dogs and especially loved being with family. Grace is survived by: One Daughter: Kathleen T. Brent with whom she resided, One Son: William M. Thompson husband of Carol of Newtown Square; Four Grandchildren: Billy, Keith, Dana and Chris; Five Great-Grandchildren: Emily, Joe, Ian, Declan and James and One Sister: Dorothy Winrow of Whiting, NJ. She was pre-deceased by her sisters Mary and Ruth. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 9:30-10:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, June 12, 2015 in St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C. 4975 Boyertown Pike Reading, PA 19606. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Emmaus, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Oncology Department of the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center 1600 E. High Street Pottstown, PA 19464.
