Mark W. Tobias, 82, of Crestwood, passed away, Thursday, February 8, 2018 in Reading Hospital – Tower Health with his family by his side. He was the husband of Mary L. (Riley) Tobias who passed on June 15, 2013. Born in Temple, he was a son of the late Wayne R. and Florence T. (Althouse) Tobias. Mark was a member of Pennside Presbyterian Church and the Financial Secretary of USW of America Local #6130 for 17 years. He also was a coach and manager of Exeter City-County Baseball Teams, American Legion Baseball, and Little Leagues in the 1970's and 1980's. Mark served as the Exeter Junior High School coach from 1986-2002 and was on the Board of Directors at Crestwood Swimming Pool Association from 1975-1977. He was employed by Prestolite Battery Company from 1956-1985 and later worked as a warehouse manager for Sovereign Bank until 1999 when he retired. Mark is survived by his three sons, Michael W. companion of Cindy Sroka of West Lawn, Mark E. of Exeter Township, and Blake J. husband of Wendy of Mohrsville; five grandchildren Brittany Cunningham, Blake Jr., Emily A., Taylor, and Michael Tobias; and three great grandchildren Annabelle, Harrison, and Coraline Cunningham and one brother, David husband of Nancy of Northfield, NJ. He was also predeceased by two sisters, Betty M. Gennett and Jean I. Aranowicz. Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm with a memorial service beginning at 1:00 pm in the Pennside Presbyterian Church, 253 N. 25th St., Reading.
