Josephine M. Travalin (Rosato)

Josephine M. Travalin, 100, of Mt. Penn passed away June 13th, 2013 in her home. She was the wife of Anthony Travalin who passed away 04/25/1994. They were married for 59 years. Born in Abruzzi, Italy, she was the daughter of Nicola and Marie (Mastrogianni) Rosato . Josephine was a member of St. Catharine Of Siena RCC since 1939, serving as President of the Seniors Club. She was also in charge of the Cosmetics for Whitner’s Department Store for 30 years, retiring in 1980. Jo’s strong will and spirit to overcome any adversity was an inspiration to us all. She is survived by nephews Nicholas Tallarida, Mark Tallarida (Janet), great nephews Anthony and Michael, and many friends and neighbors. Services will be held at St. Catharine Of Siena Chapel2427 Perkiomen Ave, Mt. Penn on Thursday June 20th, 2013 at 10:00 am. Entombment in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum.
