Chester J. Trout, 101, of Exeter Township, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 in Mifflin Center. He was the widower of Miriam G. (Kraus) Buchert who passed away August 15, 2010. His first wife, Marie (Koch) Trout passed away November 4, 1990. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late John B. and Lizzie May (Hassler) Trout. Chester was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II and was also a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church-Stony Creek. He was the assistant supervisor of paint manufacturing at Glidden Company for 30 years, retiring in 1978. Chester is survived by his daughter, Lucy May widow of Joel Thomas of Shillington, one step-son, Grant Buchert husband of Lauren of Louisville, KY and one step-grandson, David Buchert. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 11:00 am-12:00 pm with services beginning at 12:00 pm in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading, PA 19606.
