David G. Ullrich

David G. Ullrich, 92, of Reading, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was pre deceased by his first wife Betty (Stoner) Ullrich and his second wife Shirley L. (Kline) Ullrich. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late John and Hertha (Simon) Ullrich. David was a graduate of Wilson High School in 1947 where he was a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame for track, basketball and football. He proudly served his country in The United States Air Force during the Korean War. David was a member of Schwarzwald Lutheran Church

David is survived by one son, David E. Fake husband of Jeri of Wyomissing; two daughters, Lori J. wife of James Murray of Mount Penn and Cynthia L. Howe of Exeter; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am with services beginning at 10:30 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading, PA 19606. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, P.O. Box 69, Mohnton, PA 19540.
